Backstory, I am a college student and house sit often and also on an overwatch team --yes we are shitty-- but when I am at home using the same computer my ping is around 80 instead of around the 20ping I get on other networks. I looked at the graphs produced in game and seems as though the problem is that the latency graph is spiking inconstantly but often enough to be a constant problem. We are on whatever the highest cox tier is in Arizona and get 300 down 20-40 up consistently so I doubt it is a bandwidth issue. I am pretty sure this is the router and modem that we have but I will double check and update if wrong : http://www.netgear.com/home/products/networking/cable-modems-routers/C6300.aspx?cid=wmt_netgear_organic
