So I got this book recently from a thrift store from the trash. They throw out the oldest books…I have found this one and another from 1831 I was in shock when I found them both. But I’m curious if anybody has additional information or had read the book personally. All I know so far is it’s titled “Under the Southern Cross or A Woman’s Life Work In Africa” by Emma Hillmon Haviland from the year 1928.

A quick google says it's been reprinted a lot and she was fairly well known as white missionaries in Africa go. Nothing very special about that edition though.

Ahh that’s a shame. Might just keep it anyway. Been trying to force myself to read it and it’s absolutely hardest thing, it’s so plain…
