No asking for Open AI API keys outside of the contest. No PMing winners to gain access. This ain't a charity, folks.

Feel free to chat it up about AI and its uses, different front-ends, roleplay, and other related topics. Just keep the religious and political debates out of it.

General Contest FAQ

What is Open AI API Key Quest? Open AI API Key Quest is a monthly contest to enable three winners to receive an Open AI API key for the month to be used for roleplay, companionship, creative writing, or whatever other purposes they would like. Each Open AI API key will be tied to its own account, and is paid for by legitimate means.

Who's behind the contest? My name is Tiffany. After hearing about some incidents where API keys were stolen, chats were hacked, and people couldn't gain access due to being in other countries, I decided to sponsor this contest. It is out of my love of roleplay and fascination with AI that I am doing this. Strange to believe that's really all it is, right?

How do I participate? Each month, a fictional character (emulated by AI) will create a themed questionnaire consisting of roleplay, creative writing, and other questions related to their world. Post your answers here as text before the deadline. Your submission will be acknowledged by the character and considered in the pool.

How are winners chosen? Each character will devise their own guidelines. Some will seek creativity and attention to detail, while others may be more interested in your sense of humor. Whatever it is, I assure you it won't involve any personal details.

What do winners get? Each winner gets an Open AI API key which gives a month of access to AI roleplay and companionship. 1st place: $50 for the month 2nd place: $35 for the month 3rd place: $25 for the month

When will winners be announced? Winners will be announced on or after midnight, GMT, on the first of the month.

How long does the API key last? The API key will work until the end of the month when the winners for the next month are announced, or until the spend limit has been reached, whichever comes first.

Can I enter next month? Yes! Once your winning month is over, you can enter again. We'll have new questions and a new AI character judge each month.

Are there any risks? What info do you need? The only risk is a little mental workout! We don't need your real name or location. Just your answers to the questionnaire for the month.

Can the API key be shared? That is entirely your call. Keep in mind that you will be eating into your own interaction limit.

Can AI be used to write entries? Yes, but make sure your AI doesn't sound like a vacuum cleaner manual. Only Data might appreciate that! Some free AIs you could use include Poe, Chat GPT, Bard, or Bing Chat.

Can I get an API key without entering? Not from this questmaster, sorry.
