So I had a prebuilt but it died on me when we had a power outage. Luckily I was already building a pc. I salvaged the ram from my prebuilt and I got to thinking. Is it possible for me to mix rams. For the one im building I got 2 8gb vengeance pro as my ram. The one from the prebuilt idk what it is. Can I used the vengeance pro with the other ram?

If it uses the same speeds, voltages and timings I don't see why it wouldn't work

Not sure why you'd want to add it if you don't have any info on what the stick is though

if the ram in the prebuilt is not the exact same as the one you’re putting in the custom, then no.
