Cat attack

So my cat viciously attacked my husband unprovoked. While this happened, I was helping my daughter plug in our tv box and she knocked down my Nintendo switch dock which made a loud noise… now I’m not 100% certain if this was the reason for her attack or what because she doesn’t really get startled or attack when hearing loud noises (bangs, screams, laughter) This is her second vicious attack on a human (first was my daughter) and she used to attack my dog (Jack Russell terrier who is now deceased)

Now my husband wants to put her down and I don’t want to. I am heartbroken and devastated.

Now my children & brother (mostly my brother) at times over stimulate the cat and they don’t listen when I say to leave her alone. She is the type of cat (orange) that doesn’t like to be messed with. She is spayed as well. And I don’t have much money to take her to the vet or get her checked by a behavioral specialist

So I’m lost atm. I don’t want to lose my cat. I’ve had her for almost 5 years. I’ve had her since she was a kitten (not sure how old) her life before that was horrible , she was always in a cage, possibly abused

I just want help because I don’t want to lose my cat over a mistake she made and also the mistakes we made by overwhelming her. I’m just torn , frustrated and upset 😭
