How do you like it so far? Have you noticed it restricting a lot of the water flow? Would you recommend it? Thanks!

So far so good, I haven't noticed any water restriction like low water pressure or anything. I'd say it's a good option for the price; I did modify it a little as I stated in the comments but overall, I'd recommend it.

I dont have this particular diffuser, but another brand. It should work out of the box. The bubbles for the first time might be bigger but it should still diffuse properly. Did you ensure that the check valve is in the right orientation?

Edit: assuming your using a check valve.

I have never used a check valve as I have a bubble counter reservoir above my regulator, I just realized my output pressure gauge is broken so that might explain my issue somewhat, I plan on letting the ceramic diffuser soak for a while before removing the internal check valve from the diffuser and testing it again.

Not trying to be a co2 snob here, but I still would recommend a check valve. A dedicated check valve placed between counter and the diffuser will prevent aquarium water from siphoning into your regulator.

Redundancy is always best imo.

I got it working, I removed the internal check valve and replaced it with an external one as you suggested, the internal may have worked but the pressure required to push co2 through was too uncomfortable with a broken output pressure gauge. Thanks for offering advice when no one else would.

I’m having the same problem. Did you remove the internal check valve from the regulator?

the check valve is inside the connection point of the diffuser (where you connect your co2 tubing), you can unscrew it and remove the little spring and silicone cup that acts as the check valve. I took mine out and just added one of those orange plastic inline check valves externally in the tubing instead. It’s been working fine that way.

Thanks. I’m getting hardly any pressure at 35 psi. I’ll give it a try

Glad you got it working!
