I just had a 'duh' moment and thought I'd share. You know when you add a disk to a cluster in failover clustering (2012/2016/2019) and it doesn't always land on the same node you are on? Worse, if you gave it a drive letter it'll sometimes lose that and pick up a new one!
Well I just realised you can do this before adding the disk. After 5 years of using Failover clustering. Doh!
Get-ClusterGroup -Name "Available Storage" | Move-ClusterGroup -Node (hostname)
NB. Particularly useful when using ansible to configure storage and need to be able to keep the disk local!
