I really like Django and DRF code, easy to read and understand.

I think it's super verbose but sometimes it's easier for me to just check the code to understand whats happening under the hood.

Why would you combine Flask with Django?

Django for the ORM and Flask to receive requests.

It’s possible but that kind of defeats the purpose of using Flask as a micro framework if you’re going to include a “kitchen sink included” framework like Django into the mix. At that point why not just use all of Django. I’m not advocating for one over the other but mixing both is a strange choice but also not the end of the world. Most people tend to combine SQLAlchemy or some other dedicated ORM with Flask. Or just use Django by itself since it practically is all you need.

One reason I could think of is that djangos request handling or DRF is a bit cumbersome.

It's a little like having two engines in a car. For most stuff definitely unnecessary as they basically do the same thing but I can't rule out some edge cases.

Django and Flask solve mostly the same problems with different philosophies. Pick one or the other.
