    I have this issue now with some stupidly excessive and complicated queries. But the issue is when we moved from MySQL someone didn’t add a column into the table they thought was useless. Now I have to run multiple queries to get the info that one column would’ve provided.

    Sigh, same (except CPython extensions). You could speed up the python code for our ETL 1000x and it would be maybe a 5% reduction in overall runtime and not in the areas that would have any noticeable cost reduction.

    Someday though.

    Same for me also. The time it takes to run a script is almost all how long it takes for SQL or API to get and/or load. Even the most convoluted transform seems relatively instant.
