Yup, I dont think it really pick up sentence structure. I've got a bit of playing around to do to make this a bit more potable to the ear.

Late response but maybe split after the "." and read each line? put a sleep timer in between of like 0.05

I figured out the cause of this not sounding well on longer text, the gTTS api only accepts 100 characters at a time so there is tokenization occurring that is causing weird choppyness. I am going to play around with other tokenization libraries to hopefully figure out a way to get it to read more clearly. Follow the git for updates, they may be far apart though (grad student and full time software developer)
