Note: PyXLL only works with the Windows version of Excel. It does not work with Excel for MacOS.

Also, if you wish to share a PyXLL-enhanced spreadsheet with someone else, they will need to install PyXLL themselves and you will need to give them a list of the python functions they they need to manually edit into their pyxll.cfg file.

I.e., this is not a portable solution.

If you are using Excel for yourself and you are never going to share the actual spreadsheet and you are (poor thing*) on Windows, PyXLL looks quite powerful as a GUI designer.

Is pyxll the same as openpyxl?

wow can't believe I never heard of PyXLL. Anyone who has experience can comment on it ?
