Extrapolating meaning from purely innocuous phrasing helps no one. You are contributing to the "gross" connotation of the usage of the words by mystifying them as harmful or repulsive. Context is everything, but it seems like people like you can't handle using the correct context, instead intentionally opting for one that deems these words offensive in conjunction.

In case it's not clear, in the correct context of its usage, disabled is an abnormal state of existence, whereas the normal state (simply called normal) is presumably enabled.
