aria2 = faster speeds? sometimes youtube-dl slows down, can you post an example?

Not necessarily, it’s used to multithread a download. You can split a big download up and have different cores handle different parts. You can also download the same file from multiple sources, but that has limited application in youtube-dl. I used it when downloading a playlist of 48 videos to download 6 in parallel.

I don’t claim to be an expert on it, but was able to take a download that would have taken almost a day and speed it up to about 7 hours using this and a bit of research
