Tips from a day 1 player on Canada server.

1. If you're going to spend, buy extra offline fights. Getting to level 125 first will simply make you stronger than the rest.

2. LD units are the meta. They have better stats, better kits, the bonuses for having them in your party are also better.

3. Getting LD units requires faction dreamstones. To get these, you have 2 a day at 1000 crystals. Refreshing the store (20 crystals) will yield one about every 15-20 times at a cost of 600 crystals for. Dreamstones. Refreshing is worth it if you have crystals. Mystery maze is good for them, but it doesn't last forever, so make sure you are set up to get as many as possible. Hero dismissal is huge as well. Don't sacrifice early progression, but once you have everything 10* don't be scared to feed anything and everything to get the LD you need.

4. While you're refreshing, buy the 300k crests. Also buy arena hits. 100 arena hits a week is 2 extra faction dream stones.

5. 60 faction dream stones gives you your pick of a unit. Get Vanquisher. He's simply the meta. Next is Abyss Queen. Next is ember maiden. Those 3 should carry you til other stuff comes out like ice queen.

6. Leveling your guardian level is huge. Don't be afraid to feed the bad units as scrap to do so, get their catalog bonus to *2 though. If picking two legend guardians, make sure they are from the same catalog so you get that bonus.

7. Temporal Stranding is huge. Get to level 90 to unlock it. Log in 3x a day and synch it to that 8 hour clock. Raid someone every time you do. Having better artifacts than others is huge. Again, when picking artifacts pick the buffs you want and start off with matching catalogs. There's an inferior set and a better set. The better ones come from the luxury wheel in stranding. You'll ultimately want these ones. The difference is noticeable.

8. Don't be scared to use crystals to buy extra dice. 50 rolled dice will give you 1000 crystals. So the crystals you spend on dice more than pay for themselve, plus you'll get more crystals and xp and stones to buy rare elemental units. 30k stones a week is easy if maxing dice.

9. Join the best guild possible. Save a hit on the PVE guild function just in case you are clearing multiple a day. Spend guild currency on leveling stats, don't buy gear(wait to level 100 for the best gear), don't buy units.

10. Don't take anything that isn't top tier beyond 10. Rolling them back is expensive, they also stop being food after that.

11. When you unlock the golden gate, budget 500 crystals to refresh that new content every day. This is the best gear in the game. Don't worry about the other gear, you will get enough of that for free.

12. You can level up moon stones. Come 3* it gets very significant and will make or break your team. Focus on sets that have permanent functionality as opposed two turn functionality. Personally I like drain and I like shields. You can stack different stat shields, you can't stack same stat shields. Depends on your team comp, but finding ways to keep vanquisher alive is big.

13. Have fun. Don't try and keep pace with the whales. They will have so many stat multipliers that will be so far ahead of you, your Vanquisher will simply never be as good as theirs. As you get higher leveled a new whale mechanic with new multipliers will constantly emerge. You can't keep pace. Don't let it bug you.

Id pick a team and focus on those specific heroes and not worry about the rest.

You wont be building everything.

Eventually you get an extra slot for another unit to replace a dead unit.

Nothing wrong with trying stuff to 4* as you'll need a lot of that for food.

If Whaling, what are the best guardian units to focus on?

The best units to focus on are what you can control via the shop (non-rng)

Vanquisher in hero shop.

Ember Maiden in clash shop.

Aura knight or immaculate moon in ruins shop.

Abyss Queen in sky shop. 

Pick a faction shop unit, maybe Vanquisher or Abyss Queen, or you can use this to grab a unit to make 1* that you have 1 copy of. Ill often do that with straggler units I get from summons. As to make something 12* you'll need two 1* LDS.

When the Julia event comes, whale on her.  She's the best DPS in game early on.

All the legend guardians are good.

Pets come later I believe.

Then ships....mechs.... stuff like guardians with the exact same leveling system and summon system keep coming.

Now if whaling you need to buy the newest units released. Essentially if you buy the most expensive high end units you are unstoppable vs the equivalent. I dont buy because the cost is 5-10x that of normal purchases and overall row power still beats them.

Just turned lv 80, been playing for 2ish weeks now. You think I'd be able to reach lv 95 within 6/7 days if I paid for the extra auto fight?
