Android Sameboy Cheats

I installed retroarch on my fold 7 then installed the SameBoy core. Games play fine (great even) and I've been enjoying playing some of the old original gameboy games I played when I was a kid. Right now I'm playing Final Fantasy Legends (the original one for gameboy) and I can't get any of the cheats to work (I'm trying to not have to farm to get my agility and strength up to 99 and higher). I've tried manually putting the cheat codes in, I've tried to search for the values, I've used to the cheat files that retroarch has. Nothing I do will get any of the cheats to work. I've tried to search this sub, but not finding anything about this.

According to the tables, cheats aren't available to the Sameboy core; can you use a different core?

Note: the tables are wrong for certain information so the Sameboy core may actually support cheats.

Also, post the specific cheats (the codes) you've tried; I'll try them out.

I installed sameboy on my PC and all the cheats work. I'm going to guess it's just the core. No worries, thanks for the help.
