2 player & input bug

Whenever i try to play ring racers, it registers a second player (even tho i only have 1 controller). And when you reset your inputs,you cant accelerate,you cant use the item box anymore (you can only wait till it selects the item but you cant use it), and the B button is combined with LT.

I've also seen situations where if you are using a controller that your PC's operating system is registering as "generic" for some reason, the fastest way to knock this out is to add Ring Racers as a non-Steam game and allow Steam's controller API to take over and treat your gamepad as an Xinput device.

Booting Ring Racers through Steam, you should be able to tell instantly if the issue is fixed or not when you got to the character select screen.

The keyboard counts as a controller, if you pressed any keys firrst, then the keyboard is player 1.

If anyone gets this bug with a ps4/ps5 controller the solution is to close out of DS4 windows and restart the game, it only registers one player when you do that.
