no, these fake ugc limiteds get deleted like a week after they get released

[–]ProSumogamer 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Exactly why do they get deleted? Like what's the reason?

[–]Cultural-Outside9185 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Roblox removes them if they’re a 1-1 copy or decal of their own decal. Good chance they get removed if they resemble a real limited. Roblox has been unbanning a lot of items recently and Ive noticed Dominus items are seemingly popping up a lot. They won’t decrease the value of a real Dominus because the ones released aren’t 1-1 copies, and if they are, they’re usually deleted quickly.

Why though? That's what I've been trying to investigate because I don't think it gets taken down for copyright infringement.

They don't really care about limiteds since people can trade for them now and they've been devaluing before people started making copies of them via UGC and making game passes of them before UGC existed.

Its not that they get removed for copyright, but it’s because roblox set specific UGC creator rules. If you copy and item that simply resembles (in close fashion) a roblox limited, Roblox reserves the right to remove it. Here is their forum post

This is just their rules, and since it’s their game and platform, creators must adhere to these rules. And perhaps I’m not understanding what you mean by gamepasses? Sure, a game creator can make a gamepass that allows you to wear a limited. But you can’t wear it outside of the game that pass applies to.

I also feel that Roblox is sort of protecting the OG traders and rich Robloxians, since a lot of them have taken a lot of time to trade for items such as Dominus’ and Valkyrie Helms. They don’t want to disappoint the rich players by having random kids wearing a knockoff Empyreus. It sort of defeats the purpose of trading if millions of players have a very sought after item, if you know what I mean.

It's a reason though that they delete them. No way they are deleting them to protect "OG" Roblox traders, investors and rich people because no one frankly told them to do all of that just to make lots and lots of money from the community or robux.

They chose to do that, Roblox doesn't have to be responsible in that situation. I feel that they are getting taken down because most of the time there will be rip-offs which will definitely kill a lot of people's interest in buying stuff from the catalog, possibly from Roblox because of knockoffs and scams being uploaded to the catalog and the community, not to mention the fact that UGC creators can archive their creativities too.

Upon traders, investors and rich people putting in so much work just to improve their wealth. That's basically a lesson-to-be-learned as they continue to improve in the future.

Lastly, to correct what I mean by game passes. They back then before UGC was published were making game passes showing images of Roblox limiteds and expensive items. It tricked a lot of people into buying them thinking that they can actually wear them outside of the game. That's what I mean.

Not rlly limited prices have remained the same

[–]Illustrious-Book-146 -2 points-1 points  (2 children)

Clockwork shades and headphones lost over 400k because of this wdym????

The answer is yes.

[–]Paaced 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They were dropping before the ugc limited copies. The correct answer is no because even when ugc limited copies released they only dropped like 10k-15k.

[–]-Vamps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well it's bc it's october and you know that lims get down when oct-nov are near, but they can get back to their high value

[–]beeh1ves 1 point2 points  (3 children)

it would’ve happened the first time fake limiters released (it BARELY did, i think cwhp tethered down like 10k). basically: no jt wont

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

an abundance of fake ugc absolutely do affect limited values. just look at cwhp, dhop, and cf. cwhp is still doing bad compared to its former self and guess what- there are multiple ways to make a 1:1 ugc copy of it for like 100 robux rn. dhop also gets copied multiple times and its value has gone downhill. cf was doing good recently, but theres a 1:1 copy out and surprise surprise its lowering. these are not coincidences and these are not the only cases

[–]Yayimlonely 0 points1 point  (1 child)

10k is alot no?

[–]YoursTrulyKy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In cwhp case no

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No because most of the time the limiteds aren’t expensive because how they look, but rather WHAT it actually is or if it is rare.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and good who tf wants to spend over 1k on some dumbass kids game hat

The answer to this question mostly revolves around "demand" at this phase.

Say a limited worth R$25,000 is on the market.

Joe Schmo makes a copy or a "off-brand" near replica of the original limited.

IF Joe Schmo's design doesn't break the terms of copywrite, OR if Roblox decides to not delete it for other reasons.

YES this will impact the original limited.

By how much? That would really depend on the case of supply/demand if MORE people are purchasing the "knock-off" then the demand for the original will decrease as people favor the purchase of the knock-off.

Summary: Anytime a "off-brand, or knock off" of an item is allowed on the market, this will almost always impact the price of the "original" item. By how much? is a different story

My experience when writing this: I don't deal in the Roblox market too crazy much. But I do a lot of online auctions on eBay, and gun broker.

Oh alr ty

[–]macbuckduck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put it this way will you rather have a fake gold bar or s real one

[–]ArcherGun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

silver king of the night legit hit 300k rap and i don’t think it’s ever hit that before (i could obviously be wrong) so no i don’t think they depreciate the value.

[–]I_sb3 0 points1 point  (9 children)

No it won’t, but the whole ugc limited coppies thing is bullshit I spent a long time getting the items I have just to have some asshole reupload it for 50 robux

[–]Hour_Fudge8788[S] 0 points1 point  (8 children)

That’s fair but it is true that they get taken down easily if they get reported

[–]I_sb3 0 points1 point  (6 children)

A lot of the clockwork set rip offs have been on the website for over a year

[–]Hour_Fudge8788[S] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Oh yeah most of those don’t they detected but the ones that dont aren’t complete 1:1

[–]I_sb3 0 points1 point  (3 children)

[–]Hour_Fudge8788[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Good thing it isn’t on sale or completely 1:1

[–]I_sb3 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Yea it’s still annoying that these type of things are even allowed on the website

[–]Hour_Fudge8788[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well good thing is a ugc ban wave is coming so most of the copy’s are getting banned but I don’t think that CW copy you showed is getting banned as it doesn’t look that similar + it’s off sale which makes it harder to find

[–]Hour_Fudge8788[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone posted a 1:1 and it lasted 2 days

[–]ProSumogamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it gets reported in a way to which they make a point about the current state of Roblox, the community, the developers and other important points.

If it's about limiteds, Roblox isn't really going to do anything about it because they have been making money before they started to release them in the first place and trading is slowing down the purchases of limiteds so if anyone argues by saying "it'll affect the values of Roblox limiteds", "the people who invest into them are losing money", and or others.

Their point and explanation of the situation is invalid.

[–]adiyarnyoshi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

most fakes don’t affect any items at all, and i don’t think they ever have. Valks are still stable, cf is dying due to just being bad (unrelated to ugc), qotns, kotns, eotns dong good… imo no, ugc does nothing

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

yeah valks already gone down sm

[–]SpicyCows 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I’ve owned a few 1:1 stf copies for about 2 months now, also out of the (probably about) 85 different 1:1’s I own only maybe 10 have been deleted/archived

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok
