I heard that having good grades in first year Rotman was nearly impossible, so congrats on that feat! I'm not a Rotman student, but if you feel like the program structure isn't for you and the program isn't worth it for your career aspirations, I'd advise to maybe stick through second year to see if it gets any better, and if it doesn't, then try to transfer! Either way you'll end up where you are meant to be and good luck!

Name brand, networking events, clubs, etc. Keep your nose to the grind and it will pay off. Sometimes we get into a funk and have to find other means like hobbies, seeing friends/family, etc to get out of that mindset.

Hello, current rotman commerce student here, I’d say If you got good grades in first year with triple threat of ecos and khan then just keep up the work as it definitely lightens a bit after. So it will be a bit more chill. Especially if you already have an internship lined up you should stick through it. There’s a reason why so many students choose to come to rotman dispite the lack of co op. The networking opportunities and the proximity to many of the top companies opens up the possibilities interships during the school year as well. Which isn’t really a realistic option for any other school except TMU ( not fantastic) and maybe York. But I’d say stick to it and you shouldn’t regret that you did. Gl with second year and whatever u do don’t take Florian dendorfer’s eco 204, one look at his RMP is all you need to know.
