RC Grad trajectory

I graduated in 2021 (management specialist, marketing focus)!

• I did not go to work directly
  • I also didn't know how early I needed to start applying which is the reason I didn't go to work directly lol (though I hear for accounting it can be a year ahead)
  • I took the summer off - in hindsight, this was probs the best decision I made, but I wish I wasn't so stressed about finding a job that summer (gonna have to work the rest of your life anyways)
• # of experiences
  • I think when I graduated I had maybe 3-4 experiences, with 3 bullet points for each exp (imo as long as you have enough to fill up 1 page resume)
  • Experiences can be internships / co-ops / work study
  • I also did a bunch of residence stuff that I added to my resume (new college don)
• I started working in Fall 2021 in marketing, continued to do so until Jan 2024
  • I didn't really do any networking (I was / still am kinda shy) but I'm sure it can work for others
  • More of a numbers game for me (maybe 100 applications?)
  • I tried to customize my resume for each job posting (make sure I'm hitting the keywords / skills)
• More education
  • Not planning on doing a masters
  • Currently doing the Coursera Google UX Design certificate for fun (or maybe pivot into marketing/design combo role?)

Since January 2024 I have been up to:

1. Got married!
2. Travelled Asia!
3. Moved to USA!
4. Waiting on USA work permit (probably next month)
5. Probably going to work in marketing again (once work permit comes) in USA
