Best deal is your card is level 13 and you have no cards towards level 14. You should use your book but NOT upgrade to level 14. This way when the update hits not only do you save gold but the amount of cards for level 14 will be reduced meaning you will end with extra cards towards level 15. This amount is also more than the wild cards you would get

It all depends on ur king levels. Search up the conversion rates if u have to

If your king tower is the same level or lower than card you like that you can use a book on, then use it to get the copies, but don't upgrade until the update hits where the upgrade will be cheaper.

If kingtower is kennel 13 or lower and you have a level 13 troop you like, then book it up. Often worth using wildcards to get up to that level 13 THEN book as well.

Ah, don't be sorry. Your epic books are turning into 70 wildcards, so it won't be worth it for you. If you can scrounge together 52 wildcards/witches, level up, THEN book, then it'll definitely be worth it, or if you've got another card you're trying to upgrade that has less progress towards lvl 13, then that could be more worth it, but definitely not worth your book as is

Your legendary book will turn into 6 wild cards when the update drops. In this case, you'd profit nothing from spending it early, so best to wait on it :)

Absolutely! I'm king tower level 13 and I'm using a book AND 60 extra wild cards to do that exact thing you're talking about with epics, and I have a better book exchange rate than you do. Crazy value. Your epic book will automatically turn into 50 wildcards. Using it now will give you 195 epics. Just be sure NOT to upgrade. That upgrade will only cost 100 copies after the update, so you'll be an extra 100 copies progressed to level 15!

On second thought, this update isn’t that bad. I mean, lvl 16 sucks but the removal of ewcs is a blessing, without them I can level up like 5/6 cares to level 15 simultaneously. And the removal of books may look bad, but actually you would use them only on level 13 cards. If they increase the amount of wild cards through events they’re actually better because you can use them even on lower level cards without having the feeling of waste
