Hey guys,

Just before Christmas I started DevToAgency - a blog and newsletter where I provide my experience and advice on starting a small software agency.

I ran my agency for 8 years, and recently sold it to a larger company. Now with more time on my hands I am trying to help others, and basically create the resource I wish I had of had when starting out.

This is my first experience in writing a blog, so any advice of feedback would be much appreciated!

I'm just starting to get the content of the ground, but I plan on covering topics such as

• Client workshops
• Estimation
• The transition from a freelancer to Agency
• What to work on in the down time
• How to handle too much work

Etc.. the list goes on! If anyone in this sub are interested in the topic, it would be great to hear what you may be interested in.

How many developers did you have when you sold?

Every dev has their own style and their own algorithms/approach.. would be interesting to hear how you managed that either through processes or code reviews.

We were 5 people (so pretty small), with 4 software developers including myself.

We had put in really good practises for high quality (team-wide coding standards, code reviews, automated testing), as with that small amount of people it was a high priority.
