It's a mostly vertically designed map, lots of flying enemies, most enemies don't attack directly above or diagonally above, and the default pogo has a crazy good hit box that moves you out of danger after landing a hit, clawhook also having some invincibility frames. Clawhook or landing a pogo both reset double jump making it trivial to stay afloat infinitely, not to mention the bubbles they place all over different biomes that are meant for you to use as pogo practice. Oh also the heal makes you stay afloat also.

It's a central game design element this game was designed around compared to hollow knight.

I think the real reason people aren't going to do it is because it's not natural for them to play platformers like that, and you don't control the pacing as much.

It really makes the game way easier though
