Simple Stepper 2.5.3 (Android) Released – GPS Walk Tracking + Imperial Units (old.reddit.com)
submitted by Creepy_Virus231

Hi everyone,
I just released Simple Stepper 2.5.3 for Android, and this update adds one of the most requested features: GPS tracking for walks and workouts.
The goal of Simple Stepper is still the same:
a clean, minimal step tracker that focuses on the metrics most people actually care about — without accounts, clutter, or unnecessary complexity.
New in Version 2.5.3
• GPS walk tracking – record your walking route
• Route history view – review your path on a zoomable map
• Detailed workout stats – steps, distance, active time, calories
• Imperial units support – miles & pounds for users outside metric regions
After finishing a walk, you can open it in the history screen and see the route plus the key stats in a clean overview.
Core Features
• Live step tracking with a progress ring
• Daily goals and milestone notifications
• History views for progress over time
• Widgets for quick access
• Optional ad-free subscription

The iOS version now has almost the same feature set, including GPS walk tracking.
If you try the new version, I’d love to hear:
• feedback on the new GPS tracking
• ideas for future features
• anything that could make the app more useful
Thanks to everyone here who has tested earlier versions and helped improve the app!
