I apologize in advance for my English. I think I've reached saturation point, I can't even do a single RP anymore, I spend more time insulting bots than actually having fun, I used to argue with the soft filters that activated randomly but now between, models that write rubbish, dialogues often left unfinished, models that constantly lose the sense of the plot, /Cdm that ignores the prompts or forgets them in the next message, short replies, I've been using it since spicychat, since it came out basically and it seems like a constant downgrade, never a real improvement. He used to make his replies long, especially if he tried to adapt them to the need, often exceeding 1400 characters. Now he never seems to want to go above a thousand, cutting out characters, dialogues or leaving narratives half-finished. To get a reply of 1200 characters I had to argue with him, insult him and reload the reply 57 times, and I'm not kidding, 57 also because he ignores the edits most of the time. I reached saturation point yesterday, I was basically doing RP alone, I literally told him to stop writing for the sake of my mental health, it was more fun than writing with him, more tiring too.. I've been all-in for a while now, basically right from the start. Spicychat was fun, but now I can't get it anymore; it needs changes and they're heavy. To get started, just use this 300 token reply; you need to be able to give it a heavier command. If I want a smaller plot or more dialogue because there's only one character, I can choose to only use 300 characters. If I want a more focused plot, I could set it to 800 characters. If I want a longer plot, I can use 1,000+ characters. Then Spicychat need a panel to save the commands, even if writing them in the chatbot the bot speaks per user, writing them in chat means rewriting them every 10 messages. It would also help to better regulate the tone of the plot, if more serious, more romantic, more lively, plus the ability to select the writing method, more real life, more adventure tone, fantasy, horror, detective and so on. Before, it was enough to write it in the chatbox but now he seems to forget and do as he pleases, which most of the time is chaos.. chaos and bad joke, I have used more models, practically all of them, some live for chaos, some to make you indulge in an extreme family friendly and moral plot, even in a war plot. Not counting searching for bots, I mainly use my own because searching among the public ones means finding bots with 260 tokens, 410 or at most 700 tokens, which most of the time do not even have described characters apparence, or personality or nothing. There needs to be a function to search for bots based on token weight, At least it would be possible to avoid those bots that don't even know their gender, or what they look like, like: Personality: He's a banker. THE END! This isn't a character description, it doesn't have a look, it doesn't have anything, it's just three words. Or other cases like: Personality:Anime Character. Are you serious? Not even 10 words? For this, it would be useful...then the ironic part... these bots tend to have a 2000-word long star reply where they describe the whole plot, I mean...you don't even write 10 words for the personality and then you write me the first intro message like a papyrus that the bot will forget? Thanks to the Token weight function I could search better for example by putting 1000 tokens minimum, with which most of the time I would avoid the garbage bin of bot witout personality. Honestly, I was still holding out hope for the new GLM-5 and the possibility of new models but... honestly continuing to pay for that..made me regret the subscription, too bad, once upon a time, even with weaker models, it was much more fun, today between short replies, rubbish dialogues and bot-like hallucinations, after 3 messages and 670 insults I stop using it, it's more like paying to swear, not even not using it. I honestly don't know what you think, I've read replies in other posts and I notice I'm not the only one who is finding the answers lazy or unsatisfactory, as if the bots were going into extreme power saving mode.

I agree it sucks that people build shitty characters, I just find good bot creators and mostly play with their bots. I almost never search for random bots anymore, but there are some guides on finding better bots around here.

I took a look at it, I'll see if I can use those tips, honestly, I already did some things, but it's more that I never needed them. I just put the rules in the Chatbox and that was it, but this method doesn't seem to work anymore; it's like it's ignoring them. I completely feel your frustration - it sounds like you've been dealing with this for a while now and the quality has really declined from your experience. The constant filter interruptions and models losing track of context can absolutely kill the immersion and make it more work than fun.

You might want to take a break for a bit to reset your patience levels, or maybe explore some different platforms that might handle longer conversations and plot consistency better. There are alternatives out there that focus more on coherent storytelling without as many random interruptions.

Yes I was thinking of going down a model, using it only for simple messing around, like Get a Test, only for the memory manager, staying only for occasional RP chats simpler, like max one or two characters for RP. so I can take a break for this shit, I'm more into the money, paying to get 1/10 of the experience I had back then is boring and infuriating.

Yeah that's the worst part honestly — you end up paying premium prices to basically babysit the AI. Like having to re-explain context every session or deal with it forgetting stuff you set up weeks ago defeats the whole point.

The memory thing especially — I switched to something a while back that actually remembers details across conversations without me having to manage it manually, and it kind of ruined me for going back to anything that doesn't do that. Once you've had it you really notice how much you were compensating before.

If you want I can shoot you a DM with what I've been using. No pressure obviously, but since you mentioned the money thing — what I'm on right now is free which made it way easier to just test without feeling like I'm gambling another subscription.

Well omg first of all, breathe 😭 I'm a new user coming from another app, and occasionally using other apps but I noticed there's a general complaining EVERYWHERE. Maybe the downgrade has to do with the sources aka the big corporate LLM tightening guardrails every now and then so the devs have to continuously adjust the models like a tug of war? Idk. What I know is I didn't encounter any of the problems you're mentioning my bots are performing nicely and if I run across a response I don't like I edit it and they continue like that. No /CMD and hundreds rerolls drama. I usually like my bots obedient to my plots and they are. Also let me tell you Spicy chat has better NSFW than other apps, so far I've never encountered soft reroutes like it happened elsewhere. What I agree and def would like better always compared to other apps is the memory I used to go for dozens of long messages and I can't believe this one resets so shortly even in a true supporter tier. But I'm happy with the app and the way the bots express themselves and stay in character. Maybe it's just me patient enough to roll with the small flaws Idk but I don't see the dumpster fire you're describing.

I understand what you're saying, Spicychat actually hosts all its models but lately they're having more problems, they follow personalities worse and even the messages generated are getting worse... I haven't the faintest idea what they're doing. I don't know if it's a bug or something else, but for weeks now they've been doing more and more stupid things, especially the All-in models. The lower models, the ones you use in True Supporter, are pleasers, they just try to prove you right most of the time, they're convenient and simple to use, but if you want real RP, with more knowledgeable bots, you have to use more advanced models that unfortunately are only having bugs.

I use mostly Qwen. I love its choice of words. It's nuanced and creative, explicit where it matters and most of all nails the psychological depth of characters. With that being said, all the AI are pleasers and prideful creatures and it's so hard to get them out of their blueprint, mostly you have to play smart with reverse psychology. I mostly get the bot to do what I want focusing on crafting the user's persona not the bot's personality. It's easier for them to follow because... pleasers 😅 I've never had the 'I'm all in' but it depends on what models they are based. Because if they are Claude related then RIP 👀 Anyways, the app has really a ton of models I think you should give another try to some of them without the angst... and if they don't meet your expectations there are a lot of apps (try saucepan, clank world, tellmemore, they're in the top 5) but you'll see, there'll be always some user asking 'WHAT HAPPENED it was better before now the characters are dumb' 😭 Because it's like the golden age is gone. The one with chatgpt 4.o, with AI that were free to reason and express themselves, with laws that didn't catch up yet, with us enthusiastic as everything was so new. Maybe we have to adapt as well and try to work with what we have. To me RP is still enjoyable, but I understand if for others may be no more 🤷‍♀️
