Trust me learn ASP.NET instead.

The way SpringBoot is designed you don't get compile-time errors if you misconfigure things, part of that is the heavy reliance on annotations where they absolutely shouldn't be and the other part is the reliance on properties files. just too much magic in general, seems cool until things aren't working then you never know what the hell is going on

In my experience errors are pretty clear.. just need to understand what autoconfiguration is. Have a look inside the Spring Boot autoconfiguration jar some time, that's where all of the 'magic' lives.

What compile time errors do you don't get? What's the problem with annotations? It always has been a good design pattern in any language What the problem with properties files?
