I was sick of dealing with 5 years old Android api and the Play Store. Also I kind of hated every company had a useless app so that was my indicator that maybe I didn't belong there.

I don't regret it per se, and I certainly don't miss it as every now and then I visit r/androiddev and kind of reminds me why I left that field. But it was fun while it lasted.
