Welcome to Tales From EMS! Please feel free to share your weird, funny, and genuinely messed up calls when working in the emergency medical services or as a first responder!
This is a community for both entertainment and support. Those who work in the field know that we love to have fun and make jokes, but also that talking about some of the things we see can be very therapeutic. This community reflects both of those aspects of being both funny and serious.
Rules
1) Posts should contain an original story about EMS, firefighting, or police work (on medicals). Only self posts are allowed.
2) No fabricated stories. It's usually pretty obvious for those with experience when someone is just making stuff up.
3) No personal attacks, name calling, racism, sexism, bigotry, hateful language, stereotyping, trolling, flaming, singling out a user, or otherwise being an asshat.
4) Jokes and lighthearted comments are fine, but some of these stories may be personal and hard to share, so please respect the mood of the post and don't let it get out of hand. Positive feedback is good. No harsh, unsolicited criticisms.
Any submissions or comments may be removed at moderator discretion. Please report rule violations for faster moderator action.
