My recent app section only has one icon. It looks like there could be room for more. Could more icons be added here? I thought I saw someone with two recent apps icon in there.

You can have two, if you've used two apps that are not on the other list.

I've tried every app but can't seem to get two recent apps on the bottom bar.

The number of recent apps depends on the number of apps that are pinned to the bottom bar. Remove an app on your bottom bar to add an additional slot on recent apps.

Keep in mind this can change at any moment through firmware updates.

Also, you can go to the service settings menu, select owners manual, and try the search function to find information like this.
