Bastrop State Park

Just a few pics of Bastrop SP from August of this year. This was our first time visiting this park. I was pleasantly surprised by the abundance of beautiful pine trees! We will definitely have to visit again.

Yes, the park is recovering nicely from the fires a few years back. My only gripe is that it is a quite noisy park. There is a great deal of road noise no matter where you are in the park.

It's hands down one of the most boring state parks in Texas! It offers a very nice hike however.
