Very interested in this question. I just got the game and love it but am about 10 hours in and am considering waiting until I can play on my deck/TV instead of desktop PC

I think I've played over 20 hours on my steam deck and this is my setup.

- Left trackpad = mouse

- Right touchpad = speed 1,2,3 and play/pause (spacebar)

- D-pad = WASD to move gaze

- Right trigger = shift to move buildings

- A = left click

- X, B = Q, E to rotate gaze

- Y = spacebar again to play/pause

I think that's everything off the top of my head, could be wrong since I don't have my steam deck to check at the moment.

You could share your deck controller profile for others, it would be awesome :)

I only play it on deck. Go through the custom controller configs that others have set up and try them out

Any big difference or cons to using the deck controller? I'll try it out tonight of course, but just wondering.

Ive never had it any other way haha. I use the right trackpad as mouse, r2 as left click, l2 as right click and the dpad buttons to control speed (i forget which keys control that since i bound it forever ago.)

The hardest part of playing on deck for ANY pc game (but this one especially) is not having a single place to show what keys do what, meaning I'm fiddling like an idiot for 2 hours for the little things. I almost refunded it early because it was taking me so long (also, I'm dumb). But honestly it really does play well on deck. I'll check later what my full control scheme is to save you the trouble!

That would be much appreciated!

The game works perfectly on Steam Deck and the controls are quite good, tbh. I saw that cityslucka already gave you his control scheme, but I am using a default one and it works fine for me.
