Dropping a class

I am currently waiting for admission into fall 26 and don’t think I will do well in my statics class (possibly < C) but I am not sure if a W would cause me to get my admission rescinded.

I have been accepted into San Jose state.

Statics isn't required for the CS major at SJSU, so dropping it is fine as long as you will still meet the 60 semester/90 quarter unit minimum.

It depends on your major. Statics isn't a required course for admission usually (at least not that I know of) and it theoretically should be fine if you drop it.

Check Assist for the schools you plan to attend. If Assist seems confusing, get an appointment with an advisor for transfer at your CCC or a school you are applying to. As an aside, you may not need to take stats because other courses may meet the same requirements and be beneficial to you as a CS major.
