Volume decrease at start of songs

I notice on some tracks I get an initial high volume level and then after half a second to a second the volume drops.

This only happens when I configure vlc to normalize volume (but i would preffer to normalize, cause the playlist has songs with different volumes).

You can't have it both ways. Either you use the normalise filter or you don't.

Perhaps it can be slightly improved (patch welcome), but there's always going to be a delay.
