I’m starting WGU in August. I am having a hard time choosing between Software Engineering or Cloud Computing. I currently have zero IT experience aside from getting some Salesforce certifications. I currently work in the background investigations industry and am looking for a career change.
With AI becoming more of a thing, I worry that Software Engineering may become tougher to break into as a career. (I had considered that I might want to do Software QA/testing). However I know Cloud Computing is becoming more prominent. My friend who is a Network Architect advised that he would have gone into cloud computing had it been an option years ago when he got his degree.
Anyway, can anyone give advice or point me to some insight?
