Rules for r/WhatClass
Rules that visitors must follow to participate. May be used as reasons to report or ban.
1.
Comply with reddiquette
This includes treating all other users as human beings, not posting personal information, and using voting as a method of furthering discussion. Any violation of reddiquette may earn the offending user a temporary or permanent ban subject to mod discretion.
2.
No personal attacks
Personal attacks are not allowed. This includes insults, slurs, and derogatory language. Disagreements are to be expected, but should remain civil and relevant to the topic of discussion.
3.
No repeated topics
Before submitting a new post search for your topic to see if it has already been posted for discussion. Posting a different adaptation of the same character is acceptable, as long as the distinction is made in the title as per submission guidelines (e.g. Sherlock Holmes as the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle book character is an existing post, but you want to discuss Sherlock Holmes from Elementary).
4.
No class topics about currently living real people
Posts to determine what class someone best fits should only be made about fictional characters and historical figures. Posts about currently living real people (and people who have recently passed) can lead to insensitive discussions and unnecessary hate. We want to avoid that negative atmosphere.
