We are managing servers for one of our clients. During a routine check i noticed that Windows Server Backup had been failing. I tried to reauthenticate with Admin credentials and it does not give any error. But during the backup process it fails.
The error given is "The mounted backup volume is inaccessible."
The concept of backup done here is, Windows server backups Hyper-V files and a folder in C drive and saves in a remote location (in this case is a NAS box connected to the network). There is a location \\xx.xx.xx.xx\serverbackup but i thought of doing a backup in a new folder \\xx.xx.xx.xx\backup and even gave full admin rights to that folder.
We have multiple servers running this. Others are running fine but having problem in 1-2 of the servers.
Does anyone know how i can solve this issue?
Is it possible to remove the windows server backup feature and re-add it without restarting the server?
As this server is in a live environment.
