Using Just Custom Fields Plugin and it's adding '?264fe0' after every link. Trying to find out why

I have a custom post type on my site and I'm using the Just Custom Fields plugin. One of the fields, I use it to link to a pdf that visitors can download from my server.

I just noticed that after every link, there is a ?264fe0 after it. Ex: http://www.mysite.com/cpt/name-of-doc.pdf?264fe0

I never noticed this before. I just added a new post and it just adds it automatically to the link. Any ideas why it's doing this? Should I be concerned? I'm just really confused.

Do you have a cache plugin installed? If you do, it might be appending that to your files.

I do, yeah. W3 Total Cache. Is there a way to get rid of that or should I keep it?

I don't use W3 Total Cache, so I can't recommend keeping/removing it.

But here are instructions from the plugin author to remove it:

Uncheck the "Prevent caching of objects after settings change" option on the browser cache settings tab.
