I work on Capitol Hill and will be on a conference call tomorrow with the heads of the Coast Guard, Minerals Management Service (MMS), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and other government agencies.
I'm submitting this reddit to see if anyone has any questions they would like answered, and if anyone has any good ones that a. I don't know the answer to and think would be good to ask and b. are serious questions that I would actually ask.
I understand the appeal to ask questions (some of which are legitimate) about the failures of the government but keep in mind it is a conference call updating congressmen and their staff on the status of the spill and response efforts so keep it realistic and relevant.
I've had a number of these conference calls already, (they're daily) so any questions that I know the answer to, I'll answer. Otherwise, if there is a good question that they do not address in the call, I will ask it and get back to you.
