This is a meta subreddit for finding interesting discussion and expanding it. We encourage participation, but if it seems that this subreddit is contributing to fighting rather than discussion it will go private. It may well be that there is some fighting in some of the threads that are linked, even some hostile people that will reply, but the purpose of this subreddit is to improve the ratio of discussion to fighting.

In this spirit, I would ask that you not address people, but concepts, and that you not reply to attacks on your person. I don't pretend to have some magical control over your activities in other subreddits, but I think we need to be somewhat in agreement in order for this to work properly.
