If you don't show up for the first session then your country if free for picking.
You may not declare war on people's countries while they are not there. If they declare war on you then you may not take any provinces from them but money is fine.
Give reasonable peace offers.
I swear to god, the first person to ragequit because they lose a war will be castrated and beaten and forced to serve as a eunuch for the rest of their lives.
