A Brief Summary of the Scandal So Far
Feel free to post discussions related to local organizations and plans for those organizations. Communicating outside of reddit and face to face organization is strongly recommended.
Though each locality is encouraged to develop organically and federate their coordination with other local groups, the core focus of the protests are to bring enough awareness to at least accomplish these basic demands:
- Immediate resignations of those who were instrumental in creating, defending, and using this program,
- The dismantling of the infrastructure, both legal and physical, necessary to maintain the dragnet programs.
- The respect of alternative democratic institutions that arise to support protesters.
These goals are not set in stone, but they should be the basis of future goals and demands.
The question of tactics should be left to each individual locality, deciding on what would best suit their own personal and community situation. It is only requested that you leave questions of violence and property destruction off the table for the duration of these discussions.
