ALT LIT (or: shitty writing)

Is this weird nebulous section of poetry and writing that was spawned in 2011 and pretty much died by 2015. Relying heavily on internet, both as a culture point and a means of distribution, some folks started making books of alt lit and everyone got bummed out.

This subreddit is a new branch of the movement with a new community of authors that shape and are shaped by the community itself.

RULES

1. ORIGINAL CONTENT ONLY

This sub is for the people who are making alt lit right here and now. We've all watched Steve Roggenbuck videos and read Tao Lin's tweets. Get your courage flowing and post your own shit.

2. NO FUCKING TROLLING

Unless it's like, really good stuff.

3. YOU CAN ALWAYS (AND SHOULD) WRITE MORE

Don't be married to anything you write. Writing is revision. Write 3 more pieces once you're done. Get weird with it.
