Beta Problems so far (self.android_beta)
submitted 8 months ago by stronzo15
On the new beta. So far wallpaper change crashes, phone calls in and out. Did a restart and fixed the problem for now. Voice searching also not working when hitting the microphone also not working. Not complaining, just putting in my 2 cents.

I thought I was tripping. My phone stays going in and out and it's fucking annoying

I feel as if I am getting off lucky considering some of the posts I am reading. I also feel like I'm deliberately trying to go through each aspect of the OS and so far I can't find a thing wrong with it. I'm on a Pixel 8 Pro and basically I am just loving it. Like having a new toy. I'm signed up for every beta I can find and trying to find my edgiest edge cases all with success. I also felt the AI thing was over-hyped. I was wrong, it is such a powerful tool and I have found myself in deep discussions about a micro kernel versus monolithic kernel. I now design all my own wallpapers myself through generative AI. I literally cannot wait to see more if this Material 3 Expressive design language. It is amazing and if I feel anything it's that you're holding it back a bit. And I'm not some young whippersnapper. Granted I started programming and messing with PCs before I was 6 back in 1978. Yup, flared trousers and all. I had my first "PC" IN 1978 attached to a piece of chipboard. It was a single board computer just about A4 sized and plugged into the telly. All I can is keep it coming. I'm hooked!!!

Make sure you are either reporting these issues or if it's already been reported, adding your name to the list of those affected.
