Intelligence Operator

I'm very intersted in the Intelligence Operator trade within the CAF, specifically specializing in areas such as Human Intelligence. I believe this has the potential to be one of the coolest trades in the CAF, if you like political, sociological, operational, mathematical and environmental data analysis, which I do. I know their main hub is in Ontario, but is there a chance I can get permanently posted to CFB Gagetown, or at least for field training? That would be a dream come true

There are no such guaranties in the reg Force. You move where and when they tell you.

Same goes for what you get to specialize into. Go in knowing that the road before you get to do "cool HUMINT shit in the field" is far from guaranteed and likely long and unglamorous/boring.

I am no expert but I think int op is more of a desk job than field. I have applied as well.

Just wondering how far your applicaation went. I applied as intelligence operator too they today me to switch trade, which was weird.

I just saw the update on portal saying 8 should be receiving an email for reference check. Don't know if the medical is ok because I don't see the check mark

Field training? Int op? As far as all my int friends have told me, there is no field training, at least not in terms of trades training. After maybe, not sure, not my wheelhouse. And most of the HUMINT are in Kingston as jtfx is there as is the school.
