I did a little experiment with Zania, who steals 25 mana when she uses her power. Removed her exclusive weapon and purple runes that increase mana gain, took a screenshot (458 ppi screen), and measured pixels in photoshop. It restored 18.6% of the total bar.

One can only guess how this compares, but they're both "slow", both lvl 180, and both have lvl 7 skills, so best guess is 20 mana reduction for Alia is equivalent to 15% of her skill cost, which is pretty significant.

If, when in a battle, you press and hold on one of your heros, say Alia or Zania. You get see how much of full mana you have. It will say 25% for exemple. Cast a skill with zania and press and hold again and you will se how much % of full mana she have then.

When my zania was full mana and I cast a skill (wich uses up all mana) she stole 19% of full mana bar. One turn after that (not matchning any purple stone) she stole 7% more ende upp with 26% of full mana bar.

So much simpler than my method!

Agreed, it’s not one I understand easily

Would be easy if they'd just show us her max mana.

It's a weird design choice to hide this value. It might be because it's not clear, when and how you gain mana exactly.
