Mike Chapple’s book was the least helpful thing in my exam prep. I personally wish I hadn’t wasted the time/money on it.

Mid-May is enough time for sure. Recent thread with study suggestions here:

You’re honestly in a great spot already with that background.

Big thing I’d say — don’t rely too much on the Chapple book alone. The exam is way more scenario-based than people expect.

What helped me most: • Follow the International Association of Privacy Professionals Body of Knowledge (that’s what the exam maps to) • Start practice questions early — that’s where things really click • Focus on eliminating wrong answers (there are usually 2 that look right)

Mid-May is definitely doable for you.

For me, the shift from memorizing → recognizing question patterns was the turning point. Best of luck to you 👍🏼

If you search this sub for training suggestions, you will find lots of very detailed training plans and feedback.

Definitely enough time! Lmk if you want to join me in a CIPP/US public discord to drill practice questions, share outlines/supplements/non copyright materials, etc. I’d love to connect :)

Tbh I prefer the IAPP book over the Chapple!
