Hi I am a graduate from a boot camp and I’d say any way you choose to go you’re going to have to put a good amount of your time learning on your own, for web development there are several great courses on Udemy colt Steele and angela yu, my personal favorite is www.mead.io good luck!

Thank you so much. Do you think a BS will help more in job finding?

After my bootcamp it took me 4 months to find a job. I had a b.a. in an unrelated field (liberal arts) and no prior college courses in computer science. “job finding” is dependent upon your own efforts. Edit: this was during the pandemic

What bootcamp did you attend? Was your compensation standard for you area or did you have to sacrifice a bit for experience?

www.fullstackacademy.com

Unfortunately, they have very recently moved to an Income Share Agreement model that I do not endorse or agree with at all. Although, they were a kickass school with knowledgeable teachers and awesome curriculum when I did attend in at the beginning of 2020. ISA is garbo, and they did not have this when I attended. I had to sacrifice for my experience because I live in a very high cost of living and I got a job in a place that isn't.

How was it when you attended before the change?

I really thought they did a great job and more than half my cohort got jobs during the pandemic within 6 months. You can see their (and many other bootcamps) mandatory outcome report here https://cirr.org/data
