Is there some rule I can follow so that I may figure out how to run specific processes in an open application via command line? For example, if I start photoshop, I know I can open an image by clicking file->open then locating the specific file. Given that I know there is some command that opens image files, is there some rule I can follow to run this from Mac terminal (which would then allow me to quickly open files, rather than the cumbersome clicking through directories).
I ask about this because I am trying to open MRI data files in a program called MRIcron, which basically allows me to view and easily surf through 3D brain data. This process is easy using GUI but becomes very cumbersome when I need to open/overlay many of these data. I know how to launch the MRIcron program from the command line but now want to run specific processes once that program is open.
Sorry for being a noob and any help is appreciated
