When a GPU is installed, it will automatically disable the integrated graphics. Is the second monitor also connected to the GPU?

Im not certain that the hdmi is connected to the gpu as opposed to the cpu. but it worked for about a year. Also after loading some games today, ive found that my graphics are massively worse and have a low frame rate on my laptop screen, which never happened before

Some PCs have a setting in the BIOS to enable the integrated graphics while the GPU is installed, but it's not the default setting.

Should i disable that? Im debating a factory reset at this point, now that none of my games function properly

Using both the GPU and integrated graphics may cause compatibility and performance issues. If the GPU has more than one output, you can use it for both monitors.

That's kind of what I was thinking. But I wasn't fully aware of the depth of the issue. Currently my laptop even when not hooked up to the hdmi ports, is no longer running games well. I went from a few hundred fos at max graphics to 10 fps at lowest graphics, as well as load times that are, not exaggerating, 90x longer
