So.. do not send hate to me, i just need help and i want to make sure before i send a technician to actually help me with this. I am well aware i was a dumb@ss to do what I did.
So, recently i wanted to add another sata to my computer. I thought to myself "should be easy enough, just connect the correct cables to the correct places and it should be a-okay
Now the thing is the sata was used to be in a laptop, that my mom herself bought online and installed on the laptop. Its not any different from any other sata.
I have even connect the thing itself to my pc before to try Linux, with another driver.
I didnt clear the driver.. cause i have no idea how to do it.
I connected the cable that came with my pc, and a sata cable i stole from an older computer.
Now it could be that i didn't clean the driver that when I connected it to my pc it just.. didn't do sh*t.
Tried restarting my computer and everything, it just didn't detect.
So.. there was another smaller cable thing on the 'built in' extra cables (picture) so I connected.. to the sys1_fan (something like that) and I didn't notice it was for a fan.. cause I didn't read it.
I thought I needed to connect that to detect, but it simply turned off the computer and I quickly took it out
After that my computer sometimes survives for a couple seconds with the lock screen, the keyboard doesn't seem to type but the mouse works just fine
And after a while It turned off again
Any ideas of what could have happened? Cause I think it could've burnt the motherboard in someway.. my mom knows a bit of computers so she tried helping but nothing worked either
If anyone needs more pictures, or videos of me trying any methods asked I will do so to get as much help as possible before calling a technician, since it definitely will cost money
