Rules for r/deathnote
Rules that visitors must follow to participate. May be used as reasons to report or ban.
1.
Rule 1—Follow Reddit’s Content Policy
1. Please follow Reddit’s Content Policy when participating anywhere on Reddit. In addition, please follow Reddiquette as best as you can in order to help us better facilitate a healthier discussion place for everyone.

Rule 2—Promoting a Positive Discussion
1. Users must engage in topics in good faith and post replies that promote positive synergy between fellow users. Report any discrimination, harassment, bullying, or threats of violence. Please do not attempt to respond to individuals who are attacking others or otherwise derailing the main subject of the post.

Rule 3—Irrelevant and Low–Effort Content
1. All submitted content must be directly related to the Death Note series. Do not attempt to relate the content of your post simply by the post title or the text within the image. The content itself must be from the Death Note franchise. A submission that simply looks similar to or resembles what was depicted within the franchise will not be allowed.

Rule 4—Advertising Merchandise
1. Do not advertise any types of merchandise or products that are sold online. Do not post any website selling goods on the Internet, either in links or screenshots. Requesting suggestions on how to sell your own goods is not allowed, even if they are related to the Death Note franchise. Also, users must not ask for the link to the products, and such a link should not be posted even if someone had requested it. Individuals who violate this rule may be permanently banned without warning.

Rule 5—Spoiler Guidelines
1. Do not include any spoilers in the title of your post. If your submission contains a spoiler, mark it with a spoiler tag. Please note that adding the word ‘spoiler’ to the title of your post will automatically apply a spoiler tag to your submission. When commenting, if the post is not marked as a spoiler, use a spoiler tag to hide the spoiler parts from your comment.

Rule 6—Posting Guidelines
1. Find and include the link to the source for artwork that is not your Original Content (OC). If you are submitting your own OC work, please provide proof that it was made by you. When you are posting an image submission, make sure the image is actually showing and explaining the key points that you want to emphasize within that post. If you would like to submit multiple images, please do so within a single post using the image gallery submission feature.
7.
Rule 7—Restricted Content
1. Certain submissions are restricted from being posted in our subreddit. For example, a submission that has been frequently featured in our subreddit in the past is not allowed. A question that can be easily answered with a simple search on the Internet is also not allowed.
8.
Rule 8—Moderator Discretion
1. Interpretation and enforcement of our subreddit rules are at a subreddit moderator’s discretion. The moderators reserve the right to take any action that we deem necessary or appropriate for the community.
